Pre-registration STRONGLY encouraged

TLDR

• Exam time: 7:45PM, doors open 7:30PM.
• Exam location: Stanley Coulter Hall (SC) 189.
• Fee payment: Cash or card. (No fees for under 25 or Purdue affiliated individuals.)
• Calculator: Bring your own (encouraged) or use ours.
• Computers: Bring your own if you don't have a ITaP login.
• Photo ID: required.

Fees

W5YI waives all exam fees and reimburses the $35 FCC fee for examinees under 25 years of age.

W9YB (Purdue ARC) waves all fees and reimburses the $35 FCC fee for all current Purdue students, staff, and faculty members.

If you are not in either of these groups, the examination fee is $7.00; W9YB does not keep any of this fee. For fee-free testing, consider testing with the Tippecanoe County VE Team.

ID

W5YI requires that all applicants present photo ID. Acceptable forms are:

• US driver's license
• US or foreign passport
• PUID

If you are under 25 years of age, please bring a photo ID with your date of birth on it.

Testing Resources

• Scratch paper and pencils will be provided to all applicants.
• You may bring your own calculator, as long as its memory and programming can be fully cleared. If you do not have a calculator, one will be provided for you.
• Examples of approved calculators:

  • Cleared ME approved calculators
  • Slide rules with no reference materials on them
  • 4-function calculators
  • Cleared graphing calcualtors
