Session will be held in The Barn, the event space in the back of the Historic Village. Just follow the signs!

Requirements for testing:

Please make sure you have the following before heading out:

• FCC Registration Number (FRN): Must be obtained prior to testing.
• Government-issued Photo ID: Required for all applicants.
• Proof of License (if upgrading): Bring any CSCEs not already recorded with the FCC.

If you don’t have an FRN, go to the FCC CORES website and register: http://apps.fcc.gov/cores/userLogin.do

Testing is free.

The exam is multiple-choice:

• Technician: 35 questions, 26 correct to pass (74%)
• General: 35 questions, 26 correct to pass (74%)
• Extra: 50 questions, 37 correct to pass (74%)

Upon successful completion, a Certificate of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) will be issued and forwarded to the FCC. Once processed and the $35 FCC application fee is paid, your license and call sign will appear in the FCC database.

While there is no minimum age for a license, to obtain a ham license Federal law specifies that parents or guardians of those under 13 provide written consent for the minor to access online services.
