📡 Welcome to SURF Exams! We look forward to giving you a great experience as you enter Amateur Radio or continue your journey.

Your test will be part of the Field Day 2026 activities of the Santa Cruz County Amateur Radio Club. Feel free to stay after your exam to join the other activities, meet other local hams, and maybe even learn a thing or two.

IMPORTANT: Please follow the directions on our website to find the exam session. The field itself doesn't have a street address, so the one given on HamStudy is just approximate.

📝 Please complete the registration process to reserve a seat in this session. To do that, you'll need a FCC Registration Number (FRN). You can check our web site if you need help with that.

✉️ After you register, you'll receive an email with more details including instructions on how to locate the testing area.

🪪 Please be sure to bring your ID. We can't test you without it.

💲The testing fee is $15 for adults and $5 if you are under 18. We only accept cash.

🔁 Time permitting, retests are available, but are considered a separate session by the ARRL, requiring an additional session fee.

🤝 If you need special accomodations, such as having the test read to you, please contact us and we would be very happy to help.
