Important Information for Exam Candidates

All exams begin at the same time. Please arrive by 10:30 AM for check-in.
Payment Notice: We accept CASH ONLY. Please bring the exact amount if possible.
Location & Field Day Logistics:
This session is being held in conjunction with ARRL Field Day. Please meet initially at the library. Depending on the availability of the library’s resource room, the exam may be proctored indoors (if the library has the space) or outdoors at our nearby Field Day site. Both locations are within the same park; we will confirm the exact seating area when you arrive.
Required Items to Bring:
- Photo Identification: A valid government-issued ID.
- Exam Fee: $15.00 (Cash only). Exact change is greatly appreciated.
- Writing Utensils: A Number 2 pencil and a black ink pen.
- FCC License: If you are upgrading, please bring a copy of your current FCC license.
- FRN Number: All applicants must have an FCC Registration Number (FRN). If you are upgrading, this is printed on your current license.
- Email Address: A valid email address is required for all new and upgrade applications.
- Mobile Device: A cell phone, tablet, or laptop with internet access. This is required to electronically sign your forms after completing the paper exam.
