Amateur Radio License Exam

IN-PERSON TESTING ONLY; REMOTE TESTING NOT AVAILABLE

Pre-registration is preferred due to limited space.

Upon arrival, please advise Registrar if you have a transaction pending with the FCC.

In-person computer based and paper based testing is available. If you prefer computer based testing please bring your WIFI capable laptop, iPad, or tablet. If you don't have a laptop or tablet, we have five tablets available for your use.

U.S. PHOTO ID: ONE legal PHOTO ID, with current address, must be shown to the VE Team. Adults must show a military ID, state-issued driver’s license, non-driver state ID, or U.S. passport or passport card. Under-18 students may show one of the above items, or the student shows a school ID or birth certificate and a legal guardian presents a photo ID.

If your license expired more than two years ago and you are re-taking the Technician exam to become relicensed and receive credit for General, Advanced, or Extra class, please bring proof of credit (original and one copy of old license, FCC record, and/or call book cover and page) to the exam session. Please advise VE at aarcpreregister@gmail.com of your intentions and proof of credit.
